Just like our little pug here, it's time to take a break and cool down, so we're off on our hols! Chudgy Chocs will be closed for a summer break from Monday 16th to Sunday 29th August. After being inundated with requests for luxury bakery treats, we've spent the last year developing a range of tasty, wholesome products which fit perfectly with the Chudgy Chocs range and have the same quality of healthy, human grade ingredients such as wholewheat, rice and milk, complete with our signature designs, ribbons and packaging. From retro classics like Fairy Cakes and Crispy Cakes, through a colourful variety of Birthday Cakes to a range of huge crunchy Cookies, all of our treats are freshly baked to order and are guaranteed canine-friendly; though they're so tasty, you might be tempted to take a bite, too! A SAD LOSS

With sorrow, the Chudgy Chocs team announce the passing of our wonderful old Victorian Bulldog, Winston, who died peacefully at home on Saturday 8th May at the ripe old age of 12. The original Chudgy Chocs dog, Winston was a larger than life character with a love of Strawberry Wuffles and the softest nature of any dog we've ever known, and will be sadly missed by us all.

CHUDGY CHOCS SUPPORT NOWZAD AT CRUFTS!

The Canine Confectionery Company were delighted to provide the NOWZAD dog rescue charity with an exclusive luxury Easter hamper, raffled at this year's Crufts at the Birmingham NEC. Along with a range of Chudgy Chocs treats created exclusively for NOWZAD, all items were a huge success and sold out, with all proceeds directly helping the NOWZAD dogs find better lives away from the abuse and neglect suffered in the Afghanistan warzone.

2010 has been a very busy time in the spotlight for the Chudgy Chocs team, with a host of press, radio and TV mentions including high praise from BBC Radio London's "Barking At The Moon" feature of The Late Show hosted by renowned actress, presenter and dog lover JoAnne Good. Together with canine expert Anna Webb of Paws PR, Chudgy Chocs have been taste-tested not only by their own dogs, but also by themselves, a bewildered producer and even the occasional celebrity guest, canine or otherwise! The verdict? A big paws up all round, with mint and strawberry varieties being the favourites for canines and their humans to share! Chudgy Chocs recently featured on Buenos Dias Canarias, the Spanish equivalent of GMTV, when they were highlighted as one of the most luxurious items in Tenerife's famous canine boutique, Mister Dog. Alongside Swarovski crystal collars, silk designer coats and jewel encrusted food bowls, the Chudgy Chocs range were selected as one of the most unique, glamorous and popular gifts for lucky dogs in the Canary Islands.

The Canine Confectionery Company are endorsing the iconic phrase created over 30 years ago by Clarissa Baldwin, Chief Executive of The Dogs Trust, to encourage sensible dog ownership and discourage the irresponsible act of buying or giving a puppy as a Christmas gift. Dogs Trust was started in 1891 by Lady Gertrude Stock and a benevolent small party of gentlemen at the very first Crufts dog show. With a strict policy of never putting a healthy dog to sleep, they currently have 17 Rehoming Centres and over 500 staff. CHUDGY CHOCS FEATURED ON THE LESLEY JOSEPH SHOW ON BBC RADIO LONDON!

Our famous Dogolates™and Wuffles™ were given the ultimate taste test when roving reporter Anna O’Neil tried some for herself live on the Lesley Joseph show on BBC London Radio. Selected by The Kennel Club as this year’s most original and innovative product on display at the Discover Dogs exhibition, Chudgy Chocs featured exclusively during a live BBC broadcast from Earl’s Court. Presenting from our show stand and surrounded by hundreds of visitors and exhibitors, Anna described the Chudgy Chocs range as “beautiful” and likened our luxury treats to the gourmet confectioners Godiva. After proprietor Sean Corrigan explained the origins of the company, the invention of Dogolates™ and Wuffles™ and the dangers of dogs eating human chocolate, it was time for Emma to take the plunge and give a couple of treats a try. And the verdict? Lots of texture, not too sweet and surprisingly tasty – especially the Peanut Butter Swirl!
